STILL RAW: Out of the box, Rhyson Hall wants to make a statement with his debut single, “Still Raw”. The execution is excellent, dropping lyrics in a manner similar to young Jay-Z and Jadakiss . As he states in “The Movement”, he's not a rapper with estrogen, but rather someone who wants to spark a revolution more than ready to finish off all non-believers. I feel Mr. Hall is ready for the majors, although I hope he will allow himself to build a huge independent fanbase so that when it is time (and trust me, this kid is ready), he will be massive.

Since this is a new crew I better start this review off with kicking the basic knowledge Quest gave me about them. Ripsquad a.k.a. Tha Midnight Express (everyone has at least one a.k.a these days) is two emcee’s who go by the name of Speed and Furious. Both are from Cleveland, Ohio (if you don’t know…now you know). The beat is built up around some HEAVY drums and different vocal samples which sounds like something Dr. Octagon would have laced for himself. You can tell that they are influenced by Company Flow also. Could you have better influences? Probably not - I like it.
